Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his congratulations to Sushila Karki on her recent swearing-in as Nepal's interim Prime Minister on Saturday, reaffirming India's commitment to peace and progress in the neighboring nation.
In a post on ‘X’, Modi stated, “Heartfelt congratulations to Honorable Sushila Karki on assuming the role of Prime Minister of Nepal's interim government. India is fully committed to the peace, progress, and prosperity of our brothers and sisters in Nepal.”
The political uncertainty that had persisted for several days came to an end with Karki's swearing-in, following the unexpected resignation of K.P. Sharma Oli from the Prime Minister's position. Nepal's President Ramchandra Paudel administered the oath of office to Karki (73) at the presidential office.
